About MUNDUS CRAS

From the drawing board to the boardroom.

A boutique Chief of Staff Advisory practice, founded in 2023, working across the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates and the wider Gulf.

The practice

A contemporary building with a facade of terracotta-coloured metal mesh against a blue sky.

/ˈmʊn.dʊs kraːs/

From the Latin mundus, the world, and cras, tomorrow. Built for the world of tomorrow: decisions made today that still hold when tomorrow comes.

MUNDUS CRAS was founded in 2023 to provide Chief of Staff Advisory to founders, CEOs and leadership teams preparing for their next stage.

The name comes from the Latin: mundus, the world, and cras, tomorrow. It reflects what the practice was built for: a world in which entrepreneurial ambition and management discipline increasingly have to work together.

The practice is deliberately boutique, with senior accountability from scope through delivery. Specialists answer their part of the question. MUNDUS CRAS brings those answers together, weighs them against one another and takes the priority to a decision.

The founder

Jeff Sarfo, founder of MUNDUS CRAS.

Jeff Sarfo

Founder and Managing Director

Jeff's route to MUNDUS CRAS started far from the traditional boardroom. His early working years were spent in Amsterdam's lively fashion, retail and creative scene, among the shops and independent businesses of the Nieuwendijk and De Negen Straatjes. He later worked at Fourtosix, an Amsterdam fashion agency representing international brands including Clarks and Nudie Jeans, while studying Finance & Control.

At EY's audit practice, Jeff combined his bachelor's thesis with hands-on work alongside the audit team. He then joined Suitsupply in 2016, during a period of international expansion for a brand known for provocative campaigns and a distinctive approach to fashion marketing.

What began as a part-time role at head office developed quickly. Jeff progressed to Financial Analyst before graduating, working across store performance, financial flows and internal control within the international retail network. He also represented head office during external audits and international stock audits, working directly with Deloitte's audit team.

That experience shaped a way of working that has stayed with him ever since: understand the business from the ground up, connect the people and information around a question, and turn financial insight into something management can act on.

His career then moved into audit and risk advisory at Deloitte, including a secondment to Dubai, and later into M&A transactions, carve-outs and complex project delivery with PwC Middle East.

Business is changing.
Advisory should too.

Businesses increasingly face priorities that do not sit within one function. Finance may hold part of the answer, legal another, operations another and commercial another. Leadership still has to bring those perspectives together, make the decision and see it through.

That is where Chief of Staff Advisory fits. It works across the management agenda rather than within a single specialist discipline, bringing together the people, information and perspectives needed to move an important priority forward.

The decision remains with leadership. What MUNDUS CRAS adds is the senior capability to sharpen it, align the work around it and carry it into execution.

One practice across markets

MUNDUS CRAS works across the Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates, with experience extending into the wider Gulf. It operates as one advisory practice, through locally established entities in the Netherlands and Dubai.

Working across these markets means working with different ownership structures, decision-making cultures and commercial realities. Some management disciplines travel well. Others depend heavily on context, and we treat them accordingly.

What defines our work

  • Senior involvement throughout

The senior people shaping the question stay involved in the work and the recommendations.

  • Independent

We operate independently. Where legal, tax, audit or other specialist advice is required, we work with the advisers responsible for it while remaining focused on the management question.

  • Scope agreed upfront

The mandate, including its scope, deliverables, responsibilities and boundaries, is agreed in writing before work begins.

  • Confidentiality as standard

Client names, commercially sensitive information and identifying project details are not published without consent.
